Dr. Jacob Zika
Dr. Zika earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 2007. He has a strong passion for the Gonstead technique, which is characterized by specificity, accuracy, and thorough procedures for the analysis and treatment of the spine and extremities. He can attest to the success of the Gonstead system in his own life. After sustaining an injury in 2004 while serving in the Army National Guard, Dr. Zika suffered from significant, constant back pain and sciatica. He saw countless providers across multiple specialties (medical doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, acupuncturists, etc) with no relief. After several months of ongoing symptoms, he was referred to a Gonstead chiropractor. He got off of the adjusting table, after this specific Gonstead adjustment, and was pain free. This experience was the inspiration for his commitment to learning the Gonstead technique and utilizing it to help others.
Dr. Zika and his wife, Kate, reside in Lakeville along with their three children. Kate is a Pediatrician at the University of Minnesota-Masonic Children’s Hospital. Together, they enjoy spending precious time with their children, getting involved in their Church community, staying active through things like CrossFit, and lifelong learning regarding health. Dr. Zika is a CrossFit coach, which he finds to be very fun and rewarding. He also has a passion for nutrition and enjoys traditional healthy cooking and educating others about nutrition. With any spare time remaining, he enjoys following Minnesota sports teams.
